Chennai and Cyclone Thane!


Cyclone Warning has been given to all coastal areas including Chennai today. Fishermen are not allowed to enter into the sea for any cause. People living near shore were asked to evacuate until the storm moves from Chennai.

This severe cyclone is named "Thane" and that lay centered over southeast of Bay Bengal this morning and expected to moves towards Chennai and other coastal areas by tomorrow Morning.

City is showered with thin drizzling from the morning and the dark clouds have been spread across Chennai and other cities in Tamil Nadu. Most of School and Colleges were announced Holiday today and tomorrow.

Chennai people seem to be enjoying this super cool climate playing and getting drenched in rain. As per the official news from Tamil Nadu Government, heavy rainfall is expected once the storm moves from Chennai.

But Tamil Nadu government fear there could be damage of groundnut and paddy fields across the state. Puducherry and North Tamil Nadu could experience heavy rainfall upto 25 cm from tomorrow early morning. Now after 20:00hrs today, wind blowing in speed of 55-70 kmph.
